VITAMINS
- VITAMIN A -Vitamin A supports clear vision. A deficiency can cause blurred vision
- THIAMIN (B1) -Thiamin deficiency results in loss of appetite (anorexia) and mental confusion. It also plays a pivotal role in energy metabolism and in maintenance of the nervous system.
- RIBOFLAVIN (B2) - Riboflavin supports clear vision and energy metabolism. Riboflavin deficiency can result in burning, itching eyes. Riboflavin is required for activation and support of the activities of vitamins B6, folate, and niacin.
- NIACIN (B3) - Niacin helps reduce symptoms of vertigo (dizziness). A shortage of niacin may be indicated by other symptoms such as: fatigue, headaches, indigestion, insomnia, limb pains, loss of appetite, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and muscular weakness. Vitamin B3 helps increase energy and supports functioning of the nervous system. It is also necessary for healthy brain function and serves as a memory-enhancer. It supports mental alertness.
- PANTOTHENIC ACID (B5) - Pantothenic Acid helps prevent fatigue and hypoglycemia. Pantothenic acid deficiency can produce headache, fatigue, listlessness, feeling of weakness, sleep disturbances, impaired motor coordination, and gastrointestinal symptoms. It is essential for the conversion of fat and sugar to energy usable by the body.
- PYRIDOXINE (B6) - The liver requires a lot of vitamin B-6 to function properly (hepatoprotective). Deficiency of Pyridoxine results in Insomnia, nervousness, internal stress and tension. The formation of dopamine, serotonin, epinephrine, norepinephrine, adrenaline, gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) and phenylethylamine (all of which influence moods and emotions and are needed for brain function, are dependent on Vitamin B-6.The total dopamine content in the brain is formed by Vitamin B-6. Vitamin B-6 plays a role as cofactor in most enzymes that support amino acid metabolism. It controls the absorption, metabolism and conversion of amino acids into neurotransmitters and digestive enzymes by the body. It aids in the breakdown of glycogen for use as energy by the body. It maintains sodium and potassium balance and helps control blood sugar.
- VITAMIN C – Vitamin C is commonly known for its activity in promoting energy.
- TOCOPHEROL (VITAMIN E) - Helps alleviate fatigue.
- FOLATE - Folate acts an analgesic for pain and is needed for the utilization of amino acids and sugar. Deficiency can result in diarrhea, loss of appetite, weakness and irritability.
